International Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis
The IIBA is an International Training Institute with
fifty-four affiliated training societies or institutes
throughout the world, including Canada, USA, South America,
Europe and New Zealand. The training programs are overseen
by an International Training Faculty. The societies
are comprised of local trainers, Certified Bioenergetic
Therapists (CBT), trainees, and associate members. Each
society provides ongoing educational opportunities for
its members and provides a bridge to both the community
and to the field of psychotherapy. The IIBA was founded
by Alexander Lowen, MD, John Pierrakos, MD, and William
Walling, MD, in 1953.
