The Therapist’s Somatic Process in Bioenergetic Analysis

The client's choice to work in a body psychotherapy modality brings forth dreams that support that particular choice of work. Carl Jung saw dream images and dream structures as representations of energetic constellations. Our experience is that these same constellations are reflections of energetic constellations in the body. It's not that the body is reflecting what is going on in the dream image-the dream image is actually reflecting what is going on in the body. If you pursue the energetic aspects of the dream, you will end up in the somatic aspect of the self. We will be working with the dream and the body.
